"He made the world to be a grassy road before her wandering feet." Yeats

There's nothing I like more than exploring without agenda. It's not always the easiest thing with four littles in tow, but by now, they're pretty used to our wandering ways.

Basic ingredients for family happiness: chilled wine, local olives, bread, cheese and honey, colored pencils, paths to roam, flowers to pick, and the occasional farm animal.

What are your ingredients for a happy family outing?

  1. I LOVE the ingredients for your happy family. you've inspired me to take note of my own. exploring without an agenda is one of our favorite practices too so here's to a new week full of it!

  2. adding on to yours (because it is the very same as ours)... books (our own, and others to be read together), wild blackberry bushes to indulge upon, a blanket to spread out, "special drinks" for the kids to sip (along with our 'special drink') :)...

  3. love this & your photos are so lovely.. To add to your list, which i think is spot on, for us having three ferociously growing boys, we often need to make sure we are all well fed before we venture out. Oh & bringing loads of water. we are always drinking water. we tend to move a lot!xo

    1. yes, water and snacks. it doesn't matter how much we feed the kids before venturing out, the minute they get into a car they want snack. as well as all along the way :)
